Sean Kennedy a singer/songwriter from the west coast of scotland

Bio

Sean began writing songs while recuperating after a career ending injury in professional football. He was only 20. Now, only 3 years later he is gaining plaudits for his live performances, songs and intoxicating voice. After recently finishing recording sessions with producer Greg Brimson and Grammy winning mix engineer Simon Gogerly, Sean also went over to Sonic Vista Studios in Ibiza for more writing and live dates. Later in the year he will alslo travel Stateside for yet more writing and shows in L.A, New York and New Orleans.

Q. How did you first get into playing music?

my father was a huge inspiration.

Q. How would you describe your sound in one sentence?

very memorable songs

Q. What makes your music unique?

i dont think its like anyone elses

Q. What inspires you to write songs?

living my life

Q. What have been your best and worst gig experiences?

best experience was singing to "the head injury and disabled unit" near my hometown.the people were AMAZING and brought huge inspiration to me on my outlook on life... dont think ive had a bad experience, ive loved every gig, learning and improving from them.

John Mayer - 'Born and Raised'

Q. What do you get up to when you’re not making music?

listening to music.....spending time with family and friends.

Q. What are your goals at the moment?

to improve myself as a singer and a songwriter!

Q. What have you been working on lately? Any new tracks or gigs lined up?

yeah been recording alot...few new songs finished too...big gig on in october..small gigs before then

Q. What do you think of Unsigned Band Review?

its great.....needs to be more of this...there's so much talent out there that doesn't get the chance to be noticed.

Q. What is the name of the last track that you wrote and what is it about?

'Done All I Can' - about a girl with a kid, who's partner is younger than her.She is looking for so much more commitment off of him, which he fails to give.She has tried everything she can..she hopes one day he wakes up and notices his lack of love...but then it may have been too late, and she has moved on.

Q. What was the music scene like where you grew up?

its good, very acoustic..the mentality is very small of people where i come from...just not enough gets noticed..
