Introduction

Music to make you smile

Bio

Based in South London, Thank Pablo make sun-kissed quintessentially English pop songs that have been dragged through the backstreets of Africa, Spain, France and Jamaica. It is music to make you smile. 'Rather impressive, don’t you think?” – John Kennedy, XFM’s X-Posure show. 'They make the proud claim that they've been making happy music since January 2011. They're not wrong' - Tom Robinson, BBC6 Music "lovely tight playing, fresh chirpy songwriting and the 3/4 fairground Wurlitzer moment halfway through is a nice surprise. Another band who’ll be great live…" 'By The Sea' review, Freshonthenet.co.uk “..brilliant. A real summery vibe. Find your soundtrack to the summer at www.thankpablo.co.uk" BBC Introducing

  • This is much more straightforward than their track "By The Sea" and for me not as much fun for it. This is an upbeat summery stomp not unlike those Mumfords. Lots of bands doing that at the moment. Techincally good, but don't hold your breath for originality.

  • This South London based group describe their music as ‘sun-kissed quintessentially English pop songs that have been dragged through the backstreets of Africa, Spain, France and Jamaica’. That’s a lot of influences. A Little Sunshine sounds almost exactly how I would imagine Paulo Nutini would if he calmed down a bit. Their harmonica intro and folky vocals lives up to the band’s remit and does it well. It seems like their only impression of England has been formed during those periods of amazing sunshine we sometimes get and their songs have been developed to perfectly fit that atmosphere.

  • A knockabout, jazzy affair. A real song of three parts. One hell of a trip!

  • Thank Pablo impress with their technical ability. I like the vaguely South African feel and crazy fairground middle section. The singer sings in the same high register that Adam Levine inhabits and I like that too. I'm not sure this is a great song but it's fun nevertheless. Go on - Cheer Yerself Up and Listen !
