  • James Craise produces passionate songs about relevant issues to his age group. His song ‘Quarter Life Crisis’ speaks about the rut someone of a young age can fall into and the emotional lessons that life teaches you. His realistic above pessimistic way of viewing the world creates lyrics that inspire you rather than make you cry. His down to earth way of viewing the world creates tracks that are relatable and inspirational to a young age group.

  • Hello you little fruit smoothie! Very gentle, in fact the most vulnerable male vocal I've heard in some time. Possibly too fragile to enjoy it in all it's heavenly glory... BUT, this track is utterly delicious and on the 2nd listen I felt a lot more comfortable...

  • Unbelievable! Right up my street! Soulful singing with falsetto is great - I really like that. This guy will have a good future!

  • A soothing ballad; a soulful tune.

  • A lilting, delicate piano ballad from a man with a terrifically accomplished voice.

  • Soul is all about the emotion, not just the Voice. Yet, James Craise has been blessed with both. He puts all of himself into his songs, with his raw passion and his experiences of life, his songs are not the usual generic tunes that you will hear on the charts. He recently took a chance and signed to Trevor Horn's Sarm Management and is currently in the process of creating an album. He is hardly out of the studio, absorbed in writing his music for the past six weeks. In his song, 'Song For Tomorrow', he emphasises how hard it is to talk about someone who is fading away slowly, but leave it all out for tomorrow, so that he can remember and love that person again. The song is hauntingly beautiful, with no overused techniques of musical notes or voice, just the story. Simple. Yet so effective. A breath of fresh air for music lovers. Without a doubt, James Craise is the one to watch, if not, you have no taste in music. So leave all of the emptiness for tomorrow with this song and enjoy the moment. • Sounding like a low-cal Lewis Taylor, Craise ramps up the heartache on this sad, slow song, as he delivers an impossibly moody lyric in a soul-rebel falsetto. "Put on your dancing shoes," he sings. But this is more last waltz than going to a go-go.

  • What a beautiful soulful voice, relaxed, confortable and confident. A stand out ballad with a heartfelt vocal performance. It gently penetrates your soul and it is simply a songwriting triumph!

  • (Review of James Craise's Myspace and his track "Everywhere") I've been a fan of James for a little while now and from the sounds of it, he's got a lot of interesting things to come yet. the sole track that is up on his myspace, 'Everywhere', really showcases his voice beautifully and it would be fantastic to have another song up there to be able to fully compare it to and support it. certainly one to watch. good looking chap too.

  • (Review for the track "Quarter Life Crisis") A gorgeous piano ballad with funky undertones that really lift the song to another level. The lyrics are raw, honest and autobiographical which many a listener will be able to fully relate to. - Lucy Markillie

  • Song of Tomorrow James has the voice of a tortured soul. I am reminded of Peter Gabriel’s “Here Comes The Flood” and the effortless Falsetto vocals are particularly impressive. Classic songwriting nouse with some beautiful chord changes. More Gospelly backing vocals ! Maybe there was a deal on. Most of today’s “new” music has made me feel cynical – this track has managed to bust through that. So well done James – more please - of this quality. Rare moments like these make this reviewing lark worthwhile.

Buzz

  • This is deep. The voice is like a more acoustic Alex Clare, and the song is so great. This guys’ Emerging Icons profile bio is great too, he’s fought against so much and you can hear that in the music. We can really relate to this, awesome stuff! A billion and 1 out of 10!
