  • I love the way this starts; very sparse and soulful with the handclaps and chanting voices - like a chain gang. "Found myself down by the water," Odi sings, and I'm already seeing a murder ballad with maybe Nick Cave involved. It doesn't work out quite like that, as the song softens and sweetens for the chorus, sacrificing the initial drama in pursuit of a nice tune. Nothing wrong with nice tunes, but the verse promises something more moody and visceral. It's still a great, original, atmospheric track - maybe not quite one in a million, but one in 500,000 at least.

  • Highly interesting arrangement on this. Especially, the acoustic guitar / heavily fuzzed slide guitar monophonic lines - that is inspired ! Odi's voice ain't half bad either - full of emotion and conviction. It feels like this track will be a grower - it doesn't bash you over the head. But it does develop nicely within the track - a feature sadly lacking in many pop songs today. Good work !

  • One in a Million: Stunning vocals on this incredibly engaging acoustic track with an underlying bittersweet edge. Loved it.

  • Something Beautiful: This was my pick of this week's unsigned music on the Sunday Night Music Club on Absolute Radio (12th Dec). It's a clever blend of folk and acoustic rock. The vocal is intriguing and enigmatic. The arrangement is delightful and intelligent. There is presence behind the song....I think ODi has a great career in front of the 2 of them.
