  • Acoustic bliss with a hip-hop edge, particularly impressive vocals.

  • Some seriously luscious plucking skills going on here.. this could be an uptempo David Grey song sang on the shores of a Mediterranean sea coast.. dare I say it, this could fall under the genre of 'WORLD MUSIC'.. hmm, not quite, but almost though! The clapping beat brings it to life and I felt very uplifted after hearing it..

  • It's seductive in a very different way to ther tracks. Its not as engaging or challenging, but its certainly pleasing to listen to. I think the atmosphericness and the arpeggiated guitar with the pads and cello is nice. His voice has a distinctive vibrato about it. To be cruel, it reminds me a bit of James Blunt, but that would be stupid because its nothing like James Blunt!

  • A relaxing tune; can imagine the goose bumps if you heard it live.

  • Samuel J has opened for Ben Harper, and his music has something of Harper's man-on-a-mission, acoustic-rock vibe. There's some tasty guitar picking midway through and the song eases deep into a heavily laid-back groove. Samuel delivers his message of spiritual salvation in a warm, emotional tenor, then breaks into a pretty cool rap, before a string section takes over. This is some soulful stuff. Colourful vibrations? It's all happening here.

  • Acoustic Guitar Whizz Samuel also has a voice of much allure. Breathy with that fast wobble that makes voices sound vulnerable. The Production and arrangement have been intelligently done. Modern but not overblown and most importantly sympathetic to Samuel's superior talents. The song isn't quite in the same league but there's a whole album to check if you're intrigued - I am.

  • Heavy, soulful, breathless. Excellent.

  • The guitar work on all of his tracks is amazing, and we love the laid back feel he has to his tunes. Perfect summer songs for sitting in the park. Like a Jack Johnson/John Mayer hybrid. Pretty sweet. And the argentinian half of our band can understand what he’s singing when the language changes! So boxes well and truly ticked! A billion and a half out of 10 (extra half a point for the bilingual angle ;) )

  • Sucesso Sam \o/

  • One of the most talented artists and deeply inspiring I have ever met.

  • so beautiful, like a melodical magic carpet ride, cascading over rythms and sweet soft lyrics. well done Sam. i adore your music. soothing, a tonic for the soul. i'm so honoured to call you my very dear friend. bless you. xxxxx

  • This guys the real deal. Heard him and thought.... hmmm another good looking bloke with an ok sound. Met him after a gig in Brighton and got to speak to him. What a cool guy. Surfs, travels , healthy and interesting. His songs are a true representation of the man.
