Backstage With The Interstellar Graffiti Artists

Backstage With The Interstellar Graffiti Artists

2012 has been a year to celebrate for us Brits.

Our lovely Queenie hit the big six-oh in her glorious reign- and let's face it, sixty years in any job is pretty good going. Our athletes at the Olympic and Paralympic games all made us dust off the old Union Jacks and wish we still had our replicas of Geri Halliwell's patriotic dress. There was something else... oh, yes, of course. Our Emerging Icons stage in the Olympic Park showcased around fifty amazing British artists to an international audience this summer. Hooray!

The Interstellar Graffiti Artists were one band in particular that appreciated our efforts to support this nation's talent. Visitng the Park from Romford, they let us know how important they thought it was that the country's best music should be celebrated as much as the sporting abilities- and how right they were. They even had a song dedicated to the capital, called 'Lost In London', which we filmed in an exclusive acoustic performance (keep your eyes peeled for that- it's wicked.)

But for now, get yourselves acquainted with this lively lot. Here they are speaking to us backstage at the Games:
